A Place Where Every Child Belongs
Our vision is to create a welcoming, year-round Family Resource & Community Center where children and individuals of all abilities can learn, play, grow, and belong — while families can access support, resources, recreation, education, childcare, respite, wellness, and meaningful community connection close to home. AAU is currently in the development and capital-building stage, and this center is not yet open or operating programs.

These spaces are part of AAU's evolving long-term vision and are not yet open or operating. Final design, scope, and timing will depend on funding, planning, and community needs.
A calming environment to explore and regulate
Soft lighting, tactile surfaces, and weighted equipment designed to create a safe space where children can decompress, self-regulate, and build sensory tolerance at their own pace.
Play without barriers, together
A planned fully accessible playground and recreation area where children of all abilities can safely play alongside siblings, friends, and family.
Safe water play for every family
Planned covered splash pad and water play area designed for safe, inclusive recreation for children and families of every ability.
Healing through connection and movement
Planned therapeutic recreation opportunities, including equine-assisted activities, designed to encourage physical, emotional, and social growth.
Building balance, coordination, and confidence
A planned indoor movement space designed to help children build balance, coordination, confidence, and motor skills through therapeutic trampoline and movement activities.

The Angels Among Us Special Needs Family Center represents our vision for families throughout the Short Creek area. When built, it will be a place where children gain confidence, families find support, friendships are formed, and every individual is welcomed with dignity, compassion, and belonging. This center is currently in the planning and fundraising phase.

Development Phase
Current Organization Status
Angels Among Us is currently in the fundraising and development phase.
We are not yet operating programs or providing direct services from the future center. Our current focus is securing the property, preparing for essential building improvements, raising capital, developing partnerships, and sharing trusted community resources families can access now.
Every donation, volunteer contribution, professional service, material gift, partnership, and community connection helps move the future Angels Among Us Family Resource & Community Center closer to serving families throughout the Short Creek Area.
