Angels Among Us was founded because one family experienced firsthand how difficult it is to find answers, support, and services for a child with disabilities in a rural community. Today, we are building the first Special Needs Family Resource Center serving the Short Creek Area—so children and their families can find therapy, recreation, trusted Family Navigation, caregiver support, and a community where everyone belongs, close to home.

Our Story
Why Angels Among Us Exists
When our founder's son was diagnosed with autism, the journey that followed was filled with uncertainty, long waitlists, countless miles on the road, and very few local resources. The greatest source of guidance often came from other parents who had already walked the same path.
That experience inspired a simple but powerful vision: no family should have to navigate disability alone.
Angels Among Us was created to become the place we wished had existed—a welcoming Family Resource Center where families can find trusted information, meaningful connections, inclusive recreation, caregiver support, and hope for the future.
